Last updated: August 30, 2026 · Applies to the Utiliti Hub mobile application (“App”, “we”, “us”, or
“our”).
Utiliti Hub is designed so that core file processing happens on your device. We do not operate a
general-purpose file upload backend for resize, compress, convert, PDF, QR, or similar tools. Please read this
policy carefully.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, and shared when you use Utiliti Hub on iOS or
Android.
For privacy questions, contact us at cognittoapps@gmail.com
(or the support email listed on the App Store / Google Play listing).
2. Information we process
2.1 Information processed only on your device
When you use tools such as image editing, PDF tools, video/audio conversion, QR generation/scanning, document
scanning, vault, or encryption:
Files and photos you select are processed locally on your device.
We do not receive the contents of those files through a Utiliti Hub server for core tools.
Results you save remain in locations you choose (for example app storage or your device’s download/photo
locations, subject to OS permissions).
2.2 Information stored locally on your device
The App may store locally (using on-device storage such as preferences or app documents):
App settings (theme, notification preferences).
Recently used tools list.
Optional local notes, todos, clipboard history entries you choose to save, and password vault entries you
create.
Purchase/entitlement flags needed to unlock Pro or remove ads (coordinated with the app stores).
This data stays on your device unless you export or share it yourself.
2.3 Permissions
Depending on features you use, the App may request access to:
Photos / media library — to select and save images or media.
Camera — for QR scanning and document scanning.
Microphone — for the voice recorder.
Notifications — for optional daily reminders and todo reminders you enable.
Storage / files (Android) — to read and save files you choose.
You can revoke permissions in system settings. Some features will not work without the related permission.
2.4 Advertising
The free version of the App may show advertisements (including banner and interstitial ads) via third-party ad
networks such as
Google AdMob (or successors). These partners may collect or receive device and usage information
in accordance with their own privacy policies, which can include:
Advertising identifiers (for example GAID / IDFA, subject to your OS and consent settings).
Device type, OS version, general app activity related to ad delivery.
IP address and approximate location derived by ad partners.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google
Play.
We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive purchase status, product identifiers, and
restoration information needed to unlock features.
Billing is governed by Apple’s and Google’s terms and privacy policies.
2.6 Analytics and crash data (if enabled)
If we enable analytics or crash reporting (for example Firebase Crashlytics or similar), those services may
collect
device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and coarse usage metrics to improve stability.
Such services are subject to their own privacy policies. If we do not enable them in a given build, this section
does not apply until disclosed in an updated policy.
2.7 Optional cloud or network features
Some features may be labeled as cloud, “coming soon,” or may require the network (for example live currency rates
if added later, or third-party APIs).
If you use a feature that sends data off-device, that will be limited to what is needed for that feature and
disclosed in the App UI where practical.
Features that remain placeholders do not upload your files.
3. How we use information
To provide and operate App features you request.
To remember settings and local content you create.
To show ads on the free tier and measure ad performance (via partners).
To process and restore in-app purchases.
To respond to support requests you send us.
To improve reliability and fix bugs.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK where applicable)
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on:
Performance of a contract — providing the App features you use.
Consent — where required for certain advertising identifiers, tracking, or optional
permissions (and you may withdraw consent in device settings).
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
With service providers such as ad networks and app stores, as needed to operate ads and
purchases.
If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate
safeguards.
Files you process with on-device tools are not uploaded to us as part of that processing.
6. Data retention
On-device data remains until you delete it in the App, clear app storage, or uninstall the
App.
Support emails you send may be retained as needed to respond and for legitimate business
records.
Ad and store partners retain data under their own policies.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for a primarily on-device App.
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Local vault features are convenience tools; for highly sensitive
secrets, use a dedicated password manager and system keychain where appropriate.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to
us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International users
Ad and platform partners may process data in other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards are handled
under those partners’ compliance programs.
10. Your rights and choices
Revoke permissions in iOS/Android settings.
Limit ad tracking / use privacy options provided by Apple App Tracking Transparency, Google Play ad settings,
and system-level controls.
Delete local App data by clearing storage or uninstalling.
Manage subscriptions and purchases in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data we
hold (for example support correspondence). Contact us to exercise these rights.
11. Third-party links and services
The App may link to third-party sites or open content in other apps. Their privacy practices are their own; review
their policies before providing information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated”
date.
Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy, except where further consent is
required by law.
